Unfortunately, we had to cancel the first three weekends of the 2022 season because the ice is not quite ready. The ice we currently have just exceeds our minimum of 12 inches, but the consistency is variable and the snow cover is preventing us from being able to easily detect and observe potential problem areas, so we must err on the side of caution. That said, the conditions have continued to improve throughout the month, so as long as temps stay cold in Georgetown, we are hopeful for our future events this season.
Registration is now open for all remaining events this season! We know it is frustrating to register and then have the event be canceled, but we have no way of knowing whether the ice conditions are safe enough until the week of the event. If you are interested in participating in any of our events that have entry caps (Sunday Fun Day Track, Street Bare Rubber, or Pro Street Bare Rubber), we would encourage you to go ahead and sign up to ensure that you have a spot reserved when the ice is ready.
CHANGES FOR 2022
This year, our focus was on implementing changes that would allow us to work more efficiently, help expand membership, make street classes less confusing and more accessible, and provide more opportunities to meet the needs of everyone wishing to participate. If you’d like to review the changes, you’ll find a document that covers all of the changes linked below in addition to the complete rule book for this season.
